The Summit involved discussions with leading designers, researchers, and technologists with the goal of advancing collaborative models, evaluation, and impact.
Participants included experts from the fields of architecture, design, neuroscience, environmental psychology, and technology.
The IAM Lab research team is creating a synthesis of our collective learning from the Summit to help guide the field.
Together, more than 300 participants from around the world:
- Engaged in dialogue, strategic thinking, and learning
- Gained insights and shared provocations for deep discussion and brainstorming
- Strategized about how to inform practice in healthcare, education, workplace, and civic spaces
- Formed new collaborations through the lens of translational research and design
- Began to co-develop a framework that brings researchers and practitioners together to design spaces that optimally support health and wellbeing
