How do the many spaces we inhabit change us and impact our health? In January 2024, the Arts & Wellness with NeuroArts Blueprint series at the Kennedy Center held an engaging discussion about the art and neuroscience of design.

Co-hosts Renée Fleming and Susan Magsamen explored how neuroscientists, architects, and artists use intentional design and neuroaesthetics to bring communities together through creative expression, in conversation with:

  • Anjan Chatterjee, MD, Professor of Neurology, Psychology, and Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Sarah Williams Goldhagen, PhD, author and architecture critic
  • Rick Luftglass, Executive Director of the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund

The event included a special "Tuning the Audience" singing activation with Camille Zamora and Monica Yunus of Sing for Hope.
